I think today that we are much better off because even though we have things we worry about like global warming and checking how many friends you have on Facebook. Compared to Ancient Egypt our health care has dramatically improved. We now have a very little difference between social classes and we now have more than one race. We believe in different gods and religions. Read on to fine out more. Today when we compare Ancient Egypt there are millions upon millions of things that have changed. Its changed how we choose who has the most power in society, back in Ancient Egypt the people had no choice about who they wanted to have power but nowadays we have elections. We now have much less difference between the lower class of living and the higher class of living. In Auckland live on a street with a higher class person and across the street could live a lower class person but that would never of been allowed in Ancient Egypt. The lower class or the poor where kept well away from the upper class or the rich. Health care has dramatically improved, we now know what causes illnesses and diseases and we know what helps cure the illness or disease. These days our religious are very different to Ancient Egypt, about 40% of the worlds population are not religious and the highest followed religion is Christianity however that is only 15% of the population. Ceremonies are very different nowadays. We celebrate things like Christmas and Easter that the Ancient Egyptians never knew about. This is the same for the Ancient Egyptians they celebrated things like the Wepet Renpet which was celebrating the new year. We don't mummify people today we put them in coffins and then bury them. However we do have a version of mummification and it is called embalming. In this process a dead body is treated with modern chemicals to forestall decomposition so they keep a life like look for funerals or ceremonies.
